You're sharing something personal with us — a photo of a dog you loved. We take that seriously. This policy explains exactly what we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe.
What information we collect
When you place an order, we collect: the photo of your dog that you upload; your dog's name as you enter it; your email address; and the payment confirmation details passed to us by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card number — that stays entirely within Stripe's secure systems.
If you contact us via the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
We use cookies and standard web analytics to understand how people find and use the site. No tracking cookies are set without your consent.
How we use your information
Your photo and your dog's name are used solely to create your personalised portrait. They are never shared with third parties, published, or used in any marketing materials. Your dog's face belongs to you.
Your email address is used to deliver your finished portrait and to respond to any questions you raise. We do not add you to a mailing list without your explicit agreement.
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment was made, but your card details never pass through our systems.
How long we keep your photo
Your uploaded photo and the finished portrait files are stored securely while your order is active and during any remake requests. Uploads that do not result in a completed order are deleted automatically after a short period.
If you would like your photo and portrait files deleted after delivery, please email us at hello@dogmemorialgifts.co.uk and we will do so promptly.
Third-party services
We use Stripe for payment processing. Stripe's own privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.
Our site is hosted on Vercel. Files are stored using Vercel's secure blob storage.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to request corrections, and to request deletion. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@dogmemorialgifts.co.uk.
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, you also have the right to raise it with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK.
Questions about this policy? Email us at hello@dogmemorialgifts.co.uk — we're happy to explain anything.
